Love me, love my pumpkin!

We aren't going trick or treating, but we promised Kezia that we could have a pumpkin for Hallowe'en. We bought a massive one on Saturday (it is way bigger than our heads) and we carved it yesterday. Kezia declared that the insides were 'disgusting' and wasn't very keen on helping get the seeds out, but she was very happy with the end result.

The pumpkin itself

For a first effort it wasn't bad. Kezia was very pleased with it, which is the main thing.

A surprise visit from Auntie Matilda. Ace!

Matilda is home from Belgium for a week and dropped in on us for a surprise visit. It was lovely to see her and we had a great day together (even if we did only do ordinary stuff like go to Sainsbury's!)

An afternoon out at Christchurch Meadows park

On Sunday we cycled down through Sonning and along the river to the middle of Reading to Christchurch Meadows park - we hadn't been there for ages, so it was nice to go back

Half-term fun day at St. James's church

Tracey took Kezia and the other kids to a fun day at the local church on Monday. There was a bouncy castle, which more or less guaranteed it was a success as far as Kezia was concerned. She was especially proud of her tattoo!

Her face paint was meant to be a butterfly!

We think the face-painter needs a bit more practice. Kezia was very happy with the hair-braid and the tattoo, but she wiped the face paint off as soon as we got home!

Kezia & Katie looking forward to a pub lunch!

Last weekend, we met up for a baby group reunion pub lunch at the Land's End pub just outside Woodley. It was great fun.

Uh-oh! Kezia might be turning into a rugby fan!

Katie came for a sleepover last night (Saturday) and today the two girls enjoyed a Sunday morning snack in front of the Australia v New Zealand Rugby World Cup semi-final. They only actually watched a few minutes, but this picture is so sweet - they are captivated by it!

Heatwave!

The last day of September was more or less the hottest day of the year. We went out to Henley with Caroline and had a pub lunch and a walk along the river.

Finding a spot of shade for a rest

Our trip to Henley was fun. Thanks Caroline!

Being daredevils at the park

On Saturday morning, we looked after Katie and Jakey while Mike & Di were busy. The girls wanted to go to the park. We had the place to ourselves - it was ace.
