Gran came to visit - we had an ace weekend!

Gran came to visit this weekend and we had a lovely time catching up. We went out to Reading and Woodley, visited Grandma & Grandad, made cookies, did drawing and Gran got to visit Kezia's pre-school too, which was ace.

Kezia can spread her own toast now!

Gran brought Kezia two little pots of french strawberry jam, and Kezia was really pleased to be able to spread her own toast with them.

Getting crafty

This was the ace flowery headband that Gran and Kezia sewed from one of her craft kits. Kezia was very pleased with it.

Kezia thought it was ace fun to try on Gran's glasses!

It was LOVELY to see you Gran. Lots and lots of love from all of us!

A trip to Christchurch

Last weekend we went down to Christchurch to see our friends Kim & Will and their boys George (4) and Henry (1). We hadn't seen them for AGES, so it was really good to catch up.

"A Tranmere badge"

Kezia drew this 'Tranmere badge' recently at pre-school and told her teacher Mrs. Williams all about Tranmere. What a star. She quite likes football at the moment - we have been watching a bit of the African Cup of Nations together.

It's African Cup of Nations time

Daddy is really enjoying the African Cup of Nations at the moment - not least because he gets to fill in this funky wallchart.

Wow - how time flies

Just testing out the scanner on our new home printer-scanner combo. Scanned in this old photo. Here we are enjoying a Halloween meal with our friend Michelle at her flat in Szentes, Hungary on October 31st, 1996.

Tranmere sign new keeper!

Got this through the post from a friend today. Inside it says: "Les Parry says: I am delighted - he can actually catch the ball and his salary is peanuts". Made me smile anyway.

It's the darts! Game on!

It was time for an annual trip to the Lakeside on Wednesday night. We were treated to 4 great matches, but the pick of the bunch was an absolute classic between Ted "The Count" Hankey and Scott "Scotty Too Hotty" Waites. Hankey triumphed 4-3 in a brilliant match.

Ringside seats for Steve & Tristan

We had tickets for table 17, which turned out to be right at the back in the corner. When we got there, it had been decided to allocate table 17 to a few fans in wheelchairs, because it had the easiest access (but pretty much the worst view!). So we were switched to table 40, which was right down at the front with an almost perfect view. Result!!

Christian Kist can't quite believe he has beaten Geert de Vos

As ever, a great evening at the Lakeside. 5 visits now, and every time has been really good. Looking forward to next year, and this year's tournament hasn't even finished yet!

Katie's bowling party

On Saturday, all the kids were invited to Katie's bowling party at the bowling alley in Wokingham. It was the first time bowling for a lot of them (including Kezia) and they had a great time. (And Kezia won!)

A big cheer for all the kids after the game. Kezia really enjoyed it - she wants to go again.

8 kids played - Ellie isn't in this photo, Sophie is half-hidden, then it's Lily, Katie, Kezia, Katie's cousin Harrison, Daniel and Lucas.

Best of a bad bunch....

We tried time and again to get a decent snap of all 6 cousins while we were round at Andrew & Katy's on December 28th. It was hopeless!! We will have to borrow a better version from Joe (snapping away in the background). Anti-clockwise from the top: Kezia, James, Ruby, Ewan, Freddie and Bekah.

Move over David Bailey (We're sure we have used that heading before!)

Kezia is going through a phase of being really keen to take photos. Here is her latest portrait of Grandad.

"I'm ready to go"

Daddy asked Kezia to put on her boots and gloves - this was the result!

An evening at the Peacocks

On December 30th, we all went round to Joe & Dan's to catch up with them, as they had been away in Norfolk over Christmas.
