Safety first!

We spent Sunday with the Peacocks and all the cousins had a great time playing together. They started off playing on their bikes, but kept their bike helmets on for ages afterwards, just in case the gardening got too hazardous! Thanks to Joe for this photo, which we have nicked from their blog.

First visit of the year to Dinton Pastures

On Saturday the weather was beautiful, so we all went to Dinton on the bikes (with Kezia in the new bike seat). We had ace fun. It was just great to be out in the sunshine.

Kezia was full of energy and after we had refuelled at the cafe, she was off to climb a tree!

Fun!

Mr. Pickles

Kezia is in 'purple' group in her pre-school class, and purple group's take-home pet is Mr. Pickles. He spends each week at a different person's house. Last week, it was Kezia's turn to look after him. He brought his diary with him for us to fill in, and while he was here, he had lots of fun with his new friend, Dr. Bear. They especially enjoyed the bike ride they went on together. They had a great view from the bike basket.

Kezzie being very smiley about Mr. Pickles (although he is completely obscured!)

Dullest blog pictures ever!

You can ignore these two photos. I have written a football article that I hope will be published in a magazine and they need these two photos to go with it.

New cycling gear for Miss Mouse

On Saturday morning, we suggested to Kezia that we go and get her a bike helmet (both for riding her own bike, which is she is getting to be quite a whizz at, and for going on the big bike as well). Kezia beamed from ear to ear, and declared that she thought this was "really good", so we went to Halfords at Winnersh Triangle and got a helmet. We had told her that there might not be a pink one, but of course, they know their market, so there were about 5 different pink ones to choose from! Kezia was totally delighted with the one we got.

A first quick try out with the helmet on the old bike seat. The helmet was just the right size; the bike seat was not!

The Full Ensemble, with the BIG bike seat.

On Saturday afternoon, we went round for a really fun afternoon at Simon, Abbie & cousin Ruby's and they gave us a spare bike seat that they had mentioned to us months ago. So in the space of a day, Kezia was fully kitted out for cycling - brilliant!

A day out watching Tranmere

On Saturday, I met up with Will and Matilda in London and went to watch Tranmere at Charlton. It was ace fun, and I took the camera along for once, so there are some snaps to look at.

The Rose of Denmark

Before the game, we went along to the Rose of Denmark pub round the corner from the ground. It is one of the friendliest football pubs I know, and each year they do a framed photo montage of all that season's visiting fans to put up on the pub wall. Last season, they took our photo, so we went back to see if we were up on the wall! We were, and the blokes who do the picture took our photo again for next year's montage. Ace!

There we are!

Will & Matilda discover our photo on the wall of the pub. It is a great place - the only pub I have found that has this idea.

It's a shame they put us quite so low down!!

During the build-up

The ground fills up as the teams come out and warm-up.

Very happy to be 1-0 up at half-time

Time for Matilda to give Mum a half-time report!

Matilda & Will - all smiles. Charlton is always a great day out

The builders are coming

For ages, the rented house next door has had planning permission to build another house on the large corner plot. A couple of weeks ago, work began at long last. Looks like we might be living next to a building site for a while.
