A day out at Bucklebury Farm Park

Last week we went to Bucklebury with Katie & Uncle Mike. Daddy had only been once before and that was ages ago, so it was great to go back. The kids had picnic lunch, fed the animals, and wore themselves out on the adventure playground. It was great fun. Bucklebury is Kate Middleton's home village. Sadly no sign of the bride to be - in fact, there wasn't even a single bit of bunting to be seen!

Snack time for one hungry sheep, who took a particular liking to Daddy's trousers.

Deer oh deer

Feeding time

It was a nice surprise to bump into Joe, James and Bekah at Bucklebury as well. Kezia's friend Ollie (who goes to the same childminder) was there too. All the kids had fun playing together.

No goats were harmed during the making of this photograph

The goat easily had the better of the girls; the goat could fit through the fence at any point - the girls could not!

Since we last went they have installed this superb 'jumping pillow' (a bouncy castle with no walls!) - the girls thought it was ace.

Boing!

The girls were kaput by the time we went home. It was a fun day.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

On Saturday, we went to Woodford Park for a picnic lunch, and Kezia was really pleased to be able to show Mummy how good she was at the zip slide. We LOVE these photos!.

Now that she has got the hang of this, she absolutely LOVES it!

Fun at Leo's party!

Yesterday, we went to Leo's 4th birthday party. Kezia had great fun. She was very pleased with her party crown, and she did some colouring and made Easter cards and a toilet roll parrot, decorated her own gingerbread man, played football and generally had an ace time.

Of course, after lots of playing, there was yummy party tea

Now that is a lot of kids!

Thanks for inviting us. It was great.

Just briefly to go back to the football theme...

On Saturday, I went to watch Tranmere at Bournemouth. I met up with my schoolfriend Alastair for the first time in 26 years! It was ace. We had a great time catching-up, and then went to an absolutely superb football match, with Tranmere winning 2-1 with a fantastic goal with more or less the last kick of the game. Magic!

You need to be eagle-eyed to spot me here...

...I am just in front of the letter 'C', white shirt, standing up, texting on my phone. It was just a superb day. Ace! (Thanks to 'B J' from the TRFC Cowsheds message board for the photo)

A random football photo

A few weeks ago, at the Charlton v Tranmere match, we went to the pub (The Rose of Denmark) to see our fans' photo from last season. They took our photo again for this year, so here it is. I have heard that the pub might stop the 'away fans photo' tradition, which would be a shame; I don't know of anywhere else that does it. Thanks to David Hatch at addicks.fotopages.com for the photo.

A trip to the Lookout at Bracknell

Yesterday we went to the Lookout at Bracknell with Grandma & Grandad. We didn't go inside and do any of the sciencey stuff, but we had a nice snacky lunch at the cafe and then had great fun at the adventure playground. After that we went for a stroll in the woods and built a den. There are lots more pictures of the den-building project to come later in the week, but for now here are the other snaps we took - it was great.

Finding this abandoned den inspired us to build our own one - photos coming soon.....

At the adventure playground there was all sorts of tricky balancing to be done
