A family day out on the bikes

Now that both our bikes are fixed, we can head off out for the day like we did last Saturday. We cycled from home to Henley, which was about 10 miles. Most of it was along the Thames Path. It was great - we stopped for breaks quite often and had a nice pub lunch along the way. It was a really fun family day out.

If you are nervous, look away now....teetering along the first bit of river path at Sonning

Out in the countryside

Having a breather somewhere between Sonning and Shiplake

Checking the route (love this photo!)

Time to get back on the bikes after our yummy pub lunch at the Baskerville in Lower Shiplake

At Henley lock. Kezia was FASCINATED by how it all worked - Mummy did a brilliant job of explaining

By the time we got to Henley it was time for a rest

Little Miss Cheeky-chops up the tree at Henley

The day out on the bikes was great - now that both the bikes are in working order, we will try and go for some more days out soon.

Apple picking party at Katie's

The apple tree in Katie's garden has about a million apples on it at the moment, so today a bunch of us went round and helped pick a mountain of apples to make crumble. Katie & Kezia soon got into the swing of it.

"I'm sure I can reach this one....."

Kezia tells Lily's mummy Clare which apple to get with the super-duper apple-picker....

....and inspects the treasure!

A silly trampoline game to finish off with!

After all the apples had been picked and we were waiting for the crumble to cook, Kezia thought it was great fun to lie under the trampoline while Esme and Megan jumped on top!

Rachael, Kezia & Sarah at Louisa's 1st birthday party

Last Saturday we went to Rachael & Stuart's to help celebrate their little girl Louisa's 1st birthday. It was great fun.

Tranmere shirts - the collection so far!

Had a quick count-up today. 17 altogether now. However hard I tried I couldn't get the 17th one into the photo. (The missing one is the 97-99 'Lee Jones' era home shirt, for the very few people who might be interested!)
