James, Bekah & Kezia

We couldn't manage to scan this one in, so this is a photo of a photo, but it is still such a nice one that we decided to put it on here anyway

Christmas Eve - hope Rudolf is hungry with a carrot that size

Kezia was delighted with her new chalkboard from Auntie Caroline & Uncle Adrian

...so delighted in fact, that one of her legs seems to have fallen off....

The girls playing with Kezia's hairstyling head - it has been freaking us out every time we catch sight of it ever since!

Kezia modelling her gilet (the others seem less keen on the publicity!)

Bekah, very happy with her ladybird 'pillow pet'

Smiley cousins!

Grandad...or is that Elton John?

Auntie Joe in her Christmas 'slanket'

Boxing Day football. Reading v Swansea. These were two of the very few chances in a pretty featureless goalless draw.

Football interlude. Swindon v Tranmere on December 21st

Went to watch Tranmere at Swindon just before Christmas. They had a real off-day, losing 5-0! This is our first corner of the game, taken by Adam McGurk....in the 90th minute!

"Swindon-Deliciously Tasty" - all too true, sadly; they played us off the field

Not the best news for Kezia to wake up to!

For evening football, Kezia often likes me to leave the score on a piece of paper on her bedroom floor for her to find when she wakes up. This wasn't the score she had been hoping for!

Finishing the tree!

If you look back through the blog, you will find a version of this photo each and every year. It is becoming a family tradition. Ace.

Lots of fun decorating the tree

"Have buggy, will get tree", as the old saying goes

The local scout troop at the garden centre offered to carry our tree 'to the car'. When we showed them the vehicle we would be using to get the tree home, several of them laughed out loud! We didn't care - Kezia's old 'tank' buggy is the perfect way to transport the tree.

With Father Christmas

On Sunday, we went to the local garden centre and got our Christmas tree. The place next door was also selling trees. We didn't buy ours there, but Kezia liked the Father Christmas model they had outside.

Planting bulbs with Grandad

We will see the results in the spring (fingers crossed)

One more from Kezia's birthday

This is a photo that Grandad took the day after Kezia's birthday, but we only just got a copy of the picture. Kezia is very pleased with her new 'Hello Kitty' scooter, and has already scooted all over Woodley on it (lots and lots

Kezia is famous (well, sort of....)

We are very pleased that Kezia is featured on the fans' page in last week's Tranmere Rovers programme (v Portsmouth, 08/12/12). It is a shame the silly people could not spell her name right on the photo (though they do in the text at least), but nonetheless, we are very excited about it. Kezia is delighted and is going to take the programme to school for 'show & tell'

Baby Ioanna

Last weekend, we went to visit our friends David & Kalliopi and their lovely new baby girl Ioanna. She is a sweetie (and was asleep most of the time).

Marble maze!

Just one of the masses of different designs that Kezia has built so far with her birthday marble maze. She is terrific at designing and building them and we are all having loads of fun playing with the whole set. It is a big hit!

Frosty spider's webs

It is VERY cold at the moment (minus 5) and every morning the tree outside our front door is covered with frosty spider's webs. It is quite spooky.

Lots of fun at the Abbey School fundraiser 'Glitter Ball' at the Hilton Hotel

On December 1st, we had a posh night out (the dinner suit was borrowed!) at the Abbey School ball at the Hilton hotel. It was great fun. We don't scrub up too badly!

Football interlude

A bit of a self-indulgent non-Kezia section here. I will never be much of a photographer, but I was quite pleased with these few from the FA Trophy 1st round match between Maidenhead United and Sutton United at a distinctly chilly York Road on Tuesday evening. Match report: Maidenhead were useless and Sutton won 1-0.

First view of the (very slopy) field of dreams

Here we go......

Not many Maidenhead fans ventured out on such a cold evening

A popular spot on what was a truly freezing night

Nice lettering in the home end (though there just as many away fans as home ones)

Maidenhead's celebrity fan, TV "japester" Timmy Mallett (in the centre)

Stadium artwork, new and old

A very happy Kezia at her 5th birthday party

Time for the cake!!

All ready for the party tea

Some of the kids lining up to start one of the games

Adam, Ewan, Nathan, Kezia, Olivia, Molly, Daniel, Bekah, Huw, James and Ruby

Fun at the party

Kezia had her party at Woodford Park Leisure Centre and it was great. There was a bouncy castle and the two helpers, Sam and Sam (!), kept all 16 kids busy and entertained and having fun for a whole hour before it was time for party tea. It was really good.
