Ally & Lucy's wedding in Bournemouth

On Saturday (April 20th) we went to Bournemouth for Ally & Lucy's wedding. It was the first wedding that Kezia had been to, so she was beside herself with excitement. It was terrific, the weather was perfect too, and a great time was had by all. It was a lovely day.

Basingstoke goes all cultural - Kezia fine-tuning her dance moves on the way to the wedding (at Basingstoke station!)

Sarah & Kezia with David, Ally's nephew. Kezia and David became great friends right away.

Inside the church at Holdenhurst.

The happy couple.

In the sunshine and overlooking the sea - not a bad spot for a wedding reception.

Kezia and new friend David. They played together all afternoon - it was great.

Daddy's two beautiful girls.

Kezia's two snaps of Mummy & Daddy at the wedding - both great photos in their own way!

Fun with David at the reception.

Kezia posting our wedding card in the special postbox.

In the spotlight with the blushing groom.

Ally & Lucy with the best man and the father of the bride during the speeches.

"The Wonder of You" - Ally sings to his new bride (and very good it was too).

A sucker punch for Daddy at the wedding photo booth.

Kezia loved all the photo booth props.

Daddy and Kezia having a good old boogie.

Waiting for the taxi. Worn out and happy after all the dancing.

Fast asleep on the train home. It was a great, great day.

Kezia has lost her first wobbly tooth! The tooth fairy came, so she is very pleased.

Do NOT board this ship!

Our calendar for this year shows old travel posters. I flicked ahead the other day and found that this is December's picture. It shows a drawing of the 'Berengaria', Cunard's flagship during the 1920s and 30s. I think this looks absolutely terrifying. Not content with the fact that the ship looks as though it is about to run you over and condemn you to a watery doom, the lettering for the poster gives the impression of it being some sort of 'Dracula-ship-of-death', manned by Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. Do NOT board this ship!

Ready for another jog with Mummy - the girls' fitness regime is going strong.....

Kezia is thrilled that the bulbs she planted with Grandad have started to flower!

Brilliant day out at Battersea Park Children's Zoo (again!)

On Easter Saturday, we decided to go out for the day to the London Aquarium. When we got there at about 1 o'clock, they had already sold out of tickets for the day, so we had to have a quick change of plan and go to Battersea Park Children's Zoo. We had ace fun there two years ago, and this visit was just as brilliant (even though it was a bit chillier!). It is such a good place to go, and Kezia even won a giant bag of sweets in the Easter Egg hunt that she took part in. We stopped for pizza on the way home too, so the afternoon was a huge success. This photo was taken at Clapham Junction on the way home.

Setting off from Earley station for our big day out in London.

Look, I was born there!

This photo was taken about 100 yards from the hospital where Daddy was born.

In Battersea Park, just before we got to the zoo.

Some of the animals: donkeys, goats and a chubby 'kune kune' pig.

Lemurs and Cavys

Boing!!

Right then, how the heck do you start this thing?

Kezia had ace fun with this rotating scoop thing.

In the (static!) fire engine. Where's the fire?!
