I was in Gibraltar again with work this week, and I went down to my favourite spot, Europa Point, to look across at Morocco. No luck this time, sadly. It was very, very blustery, and Morocco, 14 miles across the strait (off the left hand side of this photo) was completely shrouded in mist. That is Spain behind me across the bay.

If you are in Gib again, make sure you do the WW2 tunnel tour. [I'm not talking about the Great Siege Tunnels - they are normally covered in any upper rock trip, the WW2 tunnels are a separate offering.]
ReplyDeleteJust a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of the underground city built inside the rock. Seriously you would not beleive what a tiny fraction it is that is open, despite how extensive it is.
